Pakistan is a country greatly blessed I am not talking about geographical significance, the minrales or similar resources ….

I am talking about the unsung HERO’s of Pakistan… People who believe in Pakistan & Are working for its development regardless of wanting any reward or recognition in return …

So I have started this campaign … of promotional of such exception / extra ordinary efforts by average individuals who are one of us …… (As part of this campaign , I’d also seek help from you guys) so if you can create raw footage of the guys that you think are True Hero’s of Pakistan then do send that to me, and I’ll have a video created around it, so we could share it with larger audience , if you can’t then send me the content , and contact info then i’ll try to get in touch with that person)

Its high time for us to see the positive side the brighter side of PAKISTAN.

We are a victim of Global & Media Negativity. This post will show the real face of Media and how its playing its role in demoralization of the nation & spreading negativity all around.

The Report is about a TRUE HERO Of Pakistan …. A very good friend of mine. “Holly Sid” while seeing my work here on Facebook and my intentions, shared a story with me of a person who has devoted all his life towards changing life of other fellow Pakistani’s ….

His efforts didn’t go to waste …. He has Educated the young , Showed them a different path , changed there destiny.

The post is dedicated to his efforts and struggle his success …

But before that how will this change Pakistan or change anything …

While facing any issue big or small , what stops us … in taking an initiative to solve that issue ….. These factors are ;

1 – Who has time?
2- Who has resources?
3- How can I , single person do it?
4- I’d become a laughing stock.
5- Who’d listen to me?
6- Is this my priority / Problem?

These are the very basic questions that come in our mind before we think about doing anything apart from our normal personal responsibilities…

But ….

We all love to

1- Criticize.
2- Contribute to the problem.
3- Discourage others who might be doing something right …

There are people who see problems, There are people who discuss solutions & Then there are HERO’s who give solutions or save the day …

Now The story that I am about to share with you is a story of the TRUE HERO OF PAKISTAN. The story had 25 years in the making…..

Story of an ordinary Fire Fighter working in a Govt. Institution at a very lower payscale with hardly enough to make ends meet of his own family.

One day this guy while going on his cycle that he rides still 25 years ago saw a few kids picking up trash … he passed them .. and moved on .. the next day while coming back from the office he again saw some more kids doing the same thing. It hit him …. that these kids will remain doing this all there life … And then there kids and then there.. so this chain will keep growing like this …

After a few days of thinking , he talked to one … asked him if he’d like to read , study have a chance at a better life.. Who wouldn’t … but the boy told him how is it possible, he wasn’t meant to have a different destiny.

Then he went and met the boys family, they said there boy is working and bringing some money back home that helps in running the house …

Our Hero Said , Just let me bear the cost , let me teach him 1 hr a day I won’t charge you or anything .. but lets give this boy a chance @ a different life … Surprised at the offer of this averagly clad gentleman but agreed.

Now away from his own home , He used to go to there “Katchi Abadi” and teach this boy … Soon a few other parents joined , and started sending there kids … which led him to start teaching them out on the road under the sun & under the street lights.

With taking money from his own pockets, he couldn’t afford that many kids , but he continued … taking money from his friends , colleagues to buy copies and books …

So his mission continued, faced lots of accusations from general public , public servants too .. who said he’s taking money , making a lot, working for some NGO etc etc. Even the police raided his open school, inquired from kids what are they paying , they said nothing, but instead the Master is paying for there school fee’s etc.

Didn’t bothered him … he continued … from that 1 kid 25 years back , he has now educated more then two thousand and has a present in session class of over 250 Children.

The HERO is none other then Master Ayub …

I lived in Islamabad all my life … I never heard about him … We say the Media is very strong and aware … But I was ashamed at my ignorance that I never heard about this guy whose running an open school for last 25 years … Changing lives …

I came to know about him through a friend and asked him for the number he said he doesn’t have it .. so I requested to find it and let me know how I could meet this person … He gave me the number in the morning and I went to meet him in the noon.

There was some Magic in the Air:

When I went there , I saw Master Ayub , who was very averagely dressed in Shalwar Kameez , controlling kids like an old school headmaster with a stick in one hand …

While discussing his story though I consider myself not the person who gets moved or shaked easily but I forcefully stopped myself from crying at some points … To realize that how this guy selflessly worked over the years and is still working.

I realized he has made his own little world in this school , how he considers these children his own, how he feels there pain .. how these kids consider him as there father figure.

His Success:

Over the years he has educated over a thousand children. I met many youngsters while I asked them how long they’ve been studying here , the surprising answer was for over 10 years or 15 years..

The youngsters who very easily would have been washing cars , begging at some signals or picking up trash , but now they have education , they have vision, goals. They are productively contributing in education of other kids like themselves.

I met a father who came there to drop his kids … he told me he’s doing a Govt. Job and he himselves was taught by Master Ayub. Used to wash cars , beg at times while he was a kid .. but now because of this man (Master Ayub) he has changed his destiny and now is living a respectful life, and is now educating his kids.

Education is making these kids more civilized , helpful as I came to know now they contribute for sending fee’s of any of there brother or sister … if somebody has no money to buy books , they contribute and help this guy buy books , copies …

A few children from the SWAT also came clad in one shalwar kameez and had nothing else …. No books no cloths to wear. Since Master Ayub himself admits doesn’t have that much resources and doesn’t take a penny from what he does … so these kids of our under privileged segment gave him food, books , copies by collective contribution.

The kids love him so much that they have made a burial place for him that when he’ll die he’ll be buried next to the school.

Dilemma

1- For last 25 years this guy has been doing such a nobel work .. and nobody knows about it, within his city.

2- For 25 years our Govt. Media never bothered to cover or support the visioin of Master Ayub.

3- No recognition at any level.

4- No support by civil society.

5- No support from any NGO.

What Master Ayub Wants

1- To create a small room where he could keep his blackboards, chairs of teachers etc. cause he put it out in the open and have been stolen many a times.

2- A roof under which kids could continue there study in condition of rain or hard sun.

3- A few more blackboards, chairs for the teaches.

4- A cycle for the teachers who come there from far off places so they could manage transportation easily. (A cycle was purchased by mutual contributions to one of the teachers, but was stolen from outside the masjid)

5- Most importantly, the kids who are teaching or the guys that teach, teach voluntarily. There parents say that Master Ayub has nothing else in his life , but now they don’t want there kids to be spending that much time with him … they should go and seek there own livelihood. Kids want to teach ,but for there families sake they wish if they could bring some money back to there home. So if some monthly salary (not much) could be given to these kids, will motivate them more and there families too. Since Master Ayub is not taking anything from the school, or doesn’t have that much money so can’t give them anything but this would be amazing if it could happen.

6- Construction of a public toilet for kids, as these kids come from far away places and when they need to go to the toilet they have a huge problem.

How could this Vision solve Pakistan’s problems?

Now if Master Ayub can do it, we all can too , we don’t have to think about renting a huge premises, hiring ultra qualified teachers.

If we could just give 1 hr a day teaching at such places , teaching kids .. if every community has 3-4 such places … then believe me no boy/girl could remain education less.

If we had not many but just a few like Master Ayub we could change Pakistani’s destiny and thus Pakistan’s destiny.

Our main problem is education, awareness. Through education master ayub has made these garbage pickers, beggers, civilized productive Pakistani Citizen.

My Goal Now

Before yesterday I had many priorities, but all of them have became secondary now until I firstly solve the above mentioned problems that Master Ayub is facing.

For Pakistan & Pakistani’s sake though this guy never seeked any recoginition .. but He’s done something that none of us bothered or thought that they should. Master Ayub should be recognized for his selfless effort.

I have never done such a thing earlier so am not sure what kind of problems we could face … but I want to establish a fund for Master Ayub and we all should contribute to help him …

He told me that he has a debt of Rs. 35000 on him which he has taken over the years for buying books, copies , sending admissions etc etc … and I will be working to pay that off too …

I have a group of very motivated individuals (TAG “Tirmizi Action Group”) so we’ll be working for collection of funds and promotion of Master Ayub’s Vision. So if you guys want to directly approach him and give money that would be best or if you want to give us the sum and we’ll deliver it to him.

Help us in helping Master Ayub and spreading his vision across Pakistan.

In the end Help us in identifying more TRUE HEROES OF PAKSITAN so that we could help them in anyway we can.

Lets bring the positive side of Pakistan. We have such Honest, Sincere, Kind Hearted, Selfless people among us.

I am afraid if we won’t help him, support him, recognize him … then we’ll fail ourselves and we’ll fail Pakistan. We support and recoginize a sports player, then why can’t we help Master Ayub who has shaped the lives of hundreds or thousands & is still working.

I have missed out so many details of our meeting that are worth mentioning as its already bit long post.

If you don’t have the gutts to correct then you don’t have the right to criticize.
