Over the years I have been having series of bad experiences one after the other. The customer support of PTCL is unfortunately worst, for a company that has had monopoly and no shortage of funds this seems to be a really sad picture …
Calling on the PTCL helpline 1218 for solution of your issues is not a good experience either … it takes an average of 15-20 mins (Average) I have been on hold for over 50 mins too … just hearing the IVR.
Most of my work involves staying online 24/7 so I can’t afford waiting on there own convinient time for resolution of the issue.
The management is totally unprofessional unfortunately. People had tons of issues in its service, billing, customer services…
I even bought the domainhttp://www.ptclsucks.com just for the purpose of blogging about my bad experiences. But good for them that I was not able to find the time to upload my thoughts.
But atleast now I’ll have this video uploaded and a discussion board started so that people would have a place to launch there complaints against this company.
And I’ll have my guys 
spray pain the URL on the walls of PTCL Headquarter so they’d take notice .. Just kidding … I have ways and means to get my opinions across ..
Fiinally, during my quest to asking a few guys for this video. I did come across a few guys who were satisfied with the service, so its not all bad I’d say for everyone… or perhaps they had more patience then me … or can afford there “Nailakiyaan”

PTCL has got the monopoly by birth, as in every country the back-end telecom provider is the sole provider, and that is the Govt telecom company. Now PTCL is the sole medium either to communicate directly or other provider uses them as back-end service provider. Now i myself living in Italy and have bad experience with its national Telecom company called by the name of TIM. So whenever there is no competition there is no chance of improvement for the sake of servicing others, but the influence of their sole existence are suffering every sector.

I appreciate you presentation. it is true that the customer service of ptcl is the worst ever .
I m from ptcl and even if i had to rectify the fault of the land line number , i had to face a lot of problems to get the fault rectified .
The post privitization scenario of ptcl is going from bad to worst with every day passing .The main reason behind this present worst scenario of ptcl is that the Arabs of UAE are totally dull and have no sense of doing the telecom buisiness.
This is a long discussion that how the ptcl is being drowned at the hands of these arabs bhadowans.
But
The very promonent point which every body should learn that the privitization of ptcl is the faulty foundation. the basis of present ptcl is wrong and it is its privitization. Ptcl has been handed over to the arabs bhadowans on the peanuts rate.
Thanks to the Supreme court of pakistan which did not allow the real estate property to be handed over to these arabs. The real estate of ptcl isthe priceless and very very worthy property. Although i m in ptcl still i shall say that this is niether my property nor yours nor the few currupt layer of people at top management , it is the trusted assets which we have to pass on to our future generations.
any how , there is a lot to be written about it but
in short i shall say that the Arabs have no sense of doing the telecom buisiness and they have come here for the enjoyment and recriation.
Also the Arabs are the worst employers and they have no good reputation regarding the HR.
Very cruel and harsh treatment is being metted out to the techinical people and they are discouraged and snubbed either on one pretext or the other and the techinical people are fleecing ptcl to some other ploaces.
Well it is long ordeal of the sorrows and misery of the techincial people after the privitization.

Also about the customer care , i shall tell u that the customer care has been handed over and outsourced . The most notorious and ill mentality people hae been installed as the managers of the call centers that they have no respect or regard of the ptcl actuall people.
Here at call centers people like mateen mughal and others have been given the free hand to be all in all.
These are people who have no good reputation in the society and i cannot describe the evil nature and practices by these people .
So customer care is simly for fooling the people. The most notorious and culprit minded people are the managers so how it can be possible by these vagabonds to conduct the customer care.
They are involved in the negative activities whcih i m sori i cannot describe here .

@Yasir // I agree and add to your point as I had been part of the Customer Services Department in Mobilink & remained part of the Call Center industry so .. I know the sort of pressure that a person has to go through ….
Call Center Jobs are the 2nd toughest jobs in the world after Navy (Statistics) the mental pressure that it invovles and direct interaction , good or bad is not something everybody can handle… Now to add more pressure to this job which is already very hectic is just not good …
If the Management is bunch of lunatics who don’t know how to handle teams or take work from them positively then things are bound to go wrong …
I can give the example of Touchstone when it was HUGE , the management knew how to motivate people and take work .. it grew extra ordinarily but then the management changed and some Losers took over and they just pulled back the whole thing … stopped all progress ..

@Shahid // I just hope that PTA could let some compitition in this landline thingi , that is the only way that PTCL will realise that they need to improve otherwise people will switch and all the revenue that they are generating won’t be there anymore …
i think when PTCL will be 100% privatize by some eurpean country which is impossible then there are chances to get it to high level but PTCL have to change the staff from the bottom …… the guy who came at my home for DSL don’t know how to configure modem …. wo insaan ratta laga ker aaya tha aur beech main bhool gaya tha aage kia kerna hai. :@

When the vagabonds and notorious people at the call center have no regards and respect for the actuall people of the company then what the hell theywill be doing well for the customer or person who is not ptcl employee.
It is very disasterous and sad for the ptcl that those people have been installed here as managers who have no good reputation and most notorious people of the society.
They even do not hasitiate to miss behave and hurl abuses to the ptcl techinical people on the face and also threat to get lost , Such is their behavior with the ptcl techinical people and further more they show thier contacts with the arab masters that Mr,. A is from etisalat and he is in pakistan and it will not take me more than one telephone call to rid this person from ptcl ., So such kinds of threats are offered to the ptcl employees, engineers, even directors from the manager of the call centers,

What do u think such people will serve any body who is not the ptcl person ???
@ Salman,Agreed mate!jo meray ghar aya tha he don’t even know how to split telephone and modem wire via Splitter!and he just made me so angry that i had to take off PTCL Wireless DSL!as it wasn’t working well even if he had been right!
@Salman , I won’t be in favor of privitization of PTCL , but I just want PTA to allow more players in the landline arena to end the monopoly that its enjoying , which would be in favor of customers …

Here in ptcl , the techinical people had to quit for beinng discouraged.
Since the situation of market is not condusive and good enough otherwise many people like me are totally frusterated and want o quit rather than wasting time here .
the top lot at the top management level is full of idiots and non-techinical people are at full liberty in doing all sort of exercises unaware of the consequences.
How sorrowful it is that such a big big telecom jiant has been faltened due to mismanagement and illicit and non-comptetent people at the top slot , bluffing and be-fooling the Arabs Bhadowans.
@Yasir // Buddy I think i should start a new series on videos in exposing such culprits .. with name and there misdoings … cause these people don’t do any work and demotivate guys and become the reason for fall of big companies that would have given job oppertunities to many and would have contirbuted towards development of the coutnry too .. but because of some losers .. it goes down ….

I being an engineer pledge that even now nothing has lost yet. Although ptcl is like dead horse. But i m hopefull the motivated techinical staff can riase this company to the hieghts once again.

Who will let all this happen.
Will the ill charactoers in the top management in the company and and Govt aloow this to happen ???
I do not think so . The real people will always be condemned. And few lot just for thier sake of getting hundred of thousands each month , this practice of demoralizing the employees shall continue by the HR & A .
PTCL privitization is the bigest financial gamble and scandal in the history so far now.
The way the pakistan steell mill privitizationcase has been reversed by the supreme court , the same is required to be done here in the interest of the country and for the better future of the coming generation.
Because
it is not fair that a few lot at the top level will be building the homes of thier dreams in Dubai and Abroad at the cost of the future of our children.
Inshallah , this shall never happen.

ab to koi monoploy nahi hai ab to kitni mobile services agai hian ab bhi unki service swesi hi hain…..wohin hal hai ..dhak k teen paaat.

sum months ago v subscribed DSL 4 network ,after tht the situation of fon is tht ther is continuous noise in the line tht neither speaker nor listner can listen wht thy r saying…we have complained a no of times even our listners hav complain too bt d result is tht thy just mak a fon an ask “fon thek hogaya apka” we say “shor sun rahy hain ap” ??? thy say “yes” .v say “do ur work”.thn thy say “ok,press 1 on a next call”
this has been countinuunig 4 a month .our father has been exhausted .he is is retired ptcl ADE in karachi.
the situation is still as it is .he has even complaind to heigher authorities ,bt no response of any one.
this is the worst of worst of worst experiences among all the posts.
